After hearing the story about Sweet Caroline being Caroline Kennedy, Rosie O'Donnell announced she is the real Cracklin' Rosie. She claims Neil Diamond once saw her in the audience of one of his concerts and she yelled out her name so loudly at him that he obviously heard it when he started making faces.
When asked about it later, he laughed and said he would not get involved in any Rosie discussions. A close friend indicated later than Diamond told him Rose Kennedy would be a better guess than that.
Meanwhile, in Eugene, Oregon, a man claimed to be Brother Love. Also, a lady in San Diego stated she is Cherry Baby.
Art Bell, famous late night talk show host, will have a guest on later on his show who will say that she is Shiloh, and Clint Eastwood says he is definitely Solitary Man, and that Diamond came up with the song when he saw Eastwood riding away on his horse in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
