SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Poor Lars Ulrich. Absolutely no one is in the least bit interested in the Metallica drummer's first solo release, a collection of his favorite Danish Christmas carols, tentatively called "Jule," (pronounced You-La) which is Danish for Christmas.
Even with the promise of spirited renditions of "Nu Har vi Juligen" and "Dejlig er Jorden," Ulrich cannot find a a single recording label interested releasing his album.
Also included in the collection is a rocking version of "Dejlig er der Himmel Blaa," featuring distorted guitar and Ulrich's punishing style of drumming that Ulrich himself is especially proud of.
Ulrich hopes to have the album in stores (but not available on the Internet) by Thanksgiving
