New York - (Nappy-Headed Mess): "Just can't believe they'd do this to me!" Don Imus said today amid reports that his old bosses at MSNBC are hiring Joe Scarborough for his old morning telecast slot and lining up NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason for the WFAN radio breakfast schedule.
Esiason, who currently works as a football analyst for CBS Sports, was making strictly no comment about the reports today while Scarborough, a former Republican congressman who was a nighttime "personality" (sic) for MSNBC, has already auditioned for the Imus replacement slot in the past few months.
"This is a desecration," Imus ranted today.
"That station's gonna lose money hand over fist with these dumbass hirings.
"All its audience ratings will plummet and my loyal fanbase will come to haunt them in their time of trouble and need!
"Just hope they don't go bankrupt as expected 'til they've paid out my $100 million severance pay and contract damages!"
There has been no comment from the Rutgers University netball team whose sliming by Imus started the the whole fracas in the first place.
