CCN (Crazy Cal News) - Los Angeles - William Shatner said that he is disappointed about being passed over for the role of Cal Jennings in the Spoof Movie.
He said that he is both sad and disappointed that he wasn't even asked if he could play the role.
Mr. Shatner said, "Cal Jennings is friends with my daughter, Lisabeth, on LiveVideo. I was sure they would consider me for the part. I'm hurt, frankly. Of course, after seeing his preview of the Lone RONger, I don't feel as bad."
Cal Jennings sent Mr. Shatner a long letter of apology, stating that he had been a fan since Star Trek first came out. He assured Mr. Shatner that he had nothing to do with choosing the parts, or he definitely would have been considered.
Mr. Shatner responded back with a simple note that said, "That's showbiz."
