Hollywood, California - (Ass Mess): A consortium of Hollywood studio bosses, investment bankers, PR executives and grandees from the US The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is meeting this weekend in a secret location in cyberspace to discuss a planned buyout of copyright to a movie based on the satirical website The Spoof!
Although details are still sketchy reports say that a top moviemaker, possibly Spielberg, maybe Michael Moore, is involved in a bidding war to secure the rights to a blockbuster about internet dissent and protest against the Bush administration.
"Parody has always been the bluntest instrument against the jokers in the Bush Administration," a movie source said today.
"And although a number of satirical sites have flourished on the internet one site alone has stood proud in the counterculture world of the Whore Aganist Terra, and that is The Spoof!
"Week after week this site has poured scorn on the febrile posturings of the Bush Mobster Cartel Family, its's evil alliances with the UK's Hellfire Club, its Corrupt Bastards Club paymasters, its Global Piss Process luminaries negotiating ever-increasing dodgy arms sales to the Saudis and a host of other comedy transactions that mainstream newsproviders have reported as politics (sic)."
So who will make this movie about satirical dissent against the evil Bush empire?
Internet spreadbetting index Aintgottaprayer.com is offering no odds until unsubstantiated rumors are confirmed about which actors might take the leading roles in the movie.
One film source said today that provisional bookings had been made for Jim Carrey to play the part of Spoof! editor Mark Lowton depending on the outcome of negotiations re the moustache. The role of is brother Paul Lowton has been earmarked for Will Ferrel.
Meanwhile auditions for writers' parts depend largely on whether Brad Pitt is willing to undergo plastic sutgery to play one of the site's leading male contributors and whether Tom Cruise will be banned from auditioning for any kind of part whatsoever.
