Regrets leaving Late Show

David Letterman spoke out today concerning George Bush's low ratings. "I let him take over the show and this is what happens. I always said we were a disgrace to the entertainment industry, but this is ridiculous." However the ratings Letterman saw were not related to the show; they were Bush's approval ratings.

Letterman left the show recently to spend more time with his son. He apparently is as unhappy with Bush's performance on the show as the rest of us are with his performance in Washington.

Paul Shaffer, however stayed with the show. "What would really be the end now is if we could get Bill Clinton as sax player and band leader."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
