SEATTLE (Post Semi-Intelligencer Staff Writer) - Medical experts in the U.S. have confirmed that public radio listener and irregular Spoof! contributor, SpaceElevator, has returned to a catatonic state following a brief (yet prolific) episode of satire.
"It's not clear what triggered the reversal," said Dr. Pepper Schwartz of the University of Washington. "Whether he stopped taking his medication or he just developed an immunity to it -- we may never know. Afterall, to this day we don't even know why the state of Washington is named after George!"
The only evidence to shed any light on the writer's condition during his final days before he slipped back into a coma-like condition are these journal entries:
- 10 Oct: Feel numb and lethargic. Difficulty focusing. Dyslexia?
11 Oct: Today not write can. Channeling Yoda?
12 Oct: Condition worseninginging.
13 Oct: WTF is going on in the discussion boards?
14 Oct: ___ (help me) ___
Upon hearing the news, some hopeful Spoof! writers said: "Thank heavens! Now maybe someone else can camp out in the #15 position."
