HOLLYWOOD -- In a recent interview, comedian Richard Jeni is sad that he had to resort in taking his own life, and would like to see that we would forgive him for his rash actions. He said he was just dying for an interview, and that no one was getting the story straight.
Richard Jeni, a stand-up comedian who played to descent crowds, was a regular on TV and appeared in a few movies, died of a gunshot wound in an apparent suicide plot against himself, police said Sunday.
Police found the 45-year-old comedian alive but partly ruined in a North Hollywood home when they responded to a call Saturday morning from Jeni's bunkmate, Los Angeles Police Officer Norma Westinghouse said.
Jeni's & his career died at a nearby hospital and are awaiting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
At the conclusion of the interview, Jeni looked a bit ghostly, and said "Why did I die like this anyway? What a crock, nobody even freakin' cares about me, I will show them how serious I am? All of my problems will end very soon."
The comedian could not be reached for further comment at this time. We are not sure if he believes in reincarnation or if this is the last that the world will see of him until the apocalypse.
