Heartbroken and dejected Antonella Barba, America Idol hopeful, has announced her entrance into a female monastery. She's decided to throw in the towel and take a vow of silence.
The last thing anyone heard from Barba was at her disqualification episode of the competition. Much to the delight of Simon Cowell.
Idol insiders divulged, Antonella was so crushed by being voted off the show she decided, if they don't want to hear my voice they don't have to. She then invoked the vow of silence practiced by right wing religious sects.
The judges were extremely nice to Barba, well except Simon, who told her the truth about her rather poor singing performances. Cowell said, "look. it's a singing competition, if it were, Girls Gone Wild, you'd win by a country mile."
Paula punched Simon for his brutal honesty but apparently America agreed. Antonella was voted out of the contest.
To complete her marriage to God she must be silent for a period of one year, America sighed a breath of relief.
