Scott Hicks director of the movie "Shine" has begun filming a docu-drama on the life and recent news making scandals of British concert pianist Joyce Hatto.
Hicks came to public attention when "Shine" hit the big-screens in 1997 on the life David Helfgott - an Australian concert pianist who suffered from mental illness.
Sources said the filming begun at a secret location included a large American car followed by 3 police cars as Hatto goes on a high-speed car chase after being jilted by the BBC radio producers.
"The car crashes through a plate glass window and then on through the side of a restaurant and produce markets."
Hicks added the characters in the film had to be made American after the film rights were purchased last month.
"We want to show Hatto's poor mental illness stopped her from getting out - but also the background the public weren't aware of - such as her love of Islam and firearms, an involvement in Al-Qaeda and at one stage holding both the CIA and the American government in a stand-off in one of the biggest arms-for-prisoner deals this century."
