Beverley Hills - (Rotters): A Beverly Hills Superior Court judge has ordered Fanny Girl movie star Omar Sharif to attend a petulant actors' brat camp for thirty days following a 'stupid Mexican' jibe at a parking attendant who didn't recognise him or his boyfriend or his foreign currency banknote.
Sharif, 72, went on to break the attendant's nose in his customary insult limitation gesture that has withstood the test of time with casino croupiers, French gendarmes and incompetent LA coke dealers.
But the Oscar-winning star of movie blockusters such as Florence of Arabia, One Night with King Kong, Gullible Travels, The Repossessed, Blue Ice, Fanny Lady, The Tamarind Weed, The Whoresman, The Last Valet, Mackenna's Cold, Doctor Farrago, Behold a Pale Whore - and many many more - has vowed to stay away from California rather than suffer the ignominy of 30 days' abstinence from tantrum indulgence in the company of other has-been old soaks on probation for throwing one wobbly too many.
As for the anger management course imposed by the Beverley Hills judge, Sharif's attorney said that unlike Mel Gibson and one or two others his client 'doesn't do girly therapy'.
The case was adjourned pending a damages plea hearing by 'stupid Mexican' Mr Juan Anderson.
