In the throes of his battle with Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Walters, The Donald has reported receiving a congratulatory call from deposed diva Star Jones.
Onlookers wonder, "Was the feud the sole reason for the call?" Some have speculated that the REAL reason the two are making a connection is to congratulate each other on being voted No. 1 (Star) and 2 (The Donald) on the 2006 list of most annoying celebrities in a poll taken at AmIAnnoying.com.
Others might consider this a dubious honor, if not an outright disgrace. But not these two, who love to be in the public eye for any reason. Spoof spies report that Star and The Donald arranged a casual dinner just for the two of them to celebrate that they were "tops" on the list. The two congratulated each other with jubilant high-fives, discussing their opinion that ANY publicity is good publicity.
After the dinner, the waiters who had served them agreed amongst themselves that the two famous diners probably had a running start on being the top two most annoying celebrities for 2007. One thought they might hold the title in perpetuity, pointing out that Jones and Trump were, after all, wearing sweatshirts imprinted with the words of General George S. Patton, "Do your damndest in an ostentatious manner all the time."
