Ernie Goodman, a faded celebrity comedian,model, singer, whatever was shocked to see his auto-biography - A Goodman Is Hard To Find in the WH Smiths sale in Basingstoke.
Goodman, who wrote the esteemed, never reviewed tome with a ghost writer and support from his fan-club said 'It was with great sadness that I saw the book reduced from £25.00 to £10.00.
"Even the book about Miranda Hart's Dog, and Keith Chegwin's Iguana were selling for £15.00. I lead an interesting life, mixing with all of the beloved celebrities of the 1970's and 1980's.
"There was that great chapter where I held the door open for Paul Daniels, God Rest his soul, and he ignored me. I mean that is show business gold right there'.
