The screen went silent , then suddenly there was Janet and Michael Jackson doing Janet's hit, "What Have You Done For Me Lately?"
All over American people in their teens to their thirties began calling the network and each other. "What was that all about?" and "Did you see that?" and "Can you do a replay?"
Thus far, MTV has denied knowing what happened. It was slipped over the air someway. Then it must have been slipped out or deleted or whatever happened.
While MTV loves the attention they hate the fact that they can find no such video.
Even spookier, Janet Jackson called in much later and stated that she doesn't know anything about it either.
"Michael and I never did that song. He may have done a version that I never heard of and some tech genius placed us and our voices together and made it."
But viewers say that both the brother and sister looked somewhat older and that they could not do some of those moves with a composition.
MTV: "It's as big of a mystery to us as their fans. I don't think Janet has had a big hit since that song but they apparently sounded good together."
Latest Rumor: Guy who was keeping up with what they were playing over the station is missing. He just left a note saying, "Nothing big in the next ten minutes. Gotta have a doughnut and coffee."
