New Zealand's top children's music group The Wuggles have once again found themselves in legal trouble Monday, when they and several members of their extensive entourage were arrested for allegedly destroying a penthouse suite at a Las Vegas Hotel.
Hotel officials say The Wuggles, in town for a concert, caused an estimated $18,500 in damages to the room, the surrounding hallway and the swimming-pool area.
Hotel manager Norman Hughes said, "The television screen and cabinet had apparently been kicked in. Two chairs were thrown out the window. The mattress was ripped and its stuffing was flung all over the room, as well as into the hallway." Hughes added that minutes before police arrived, Wuggle leader Anthony Fold, with the help of dancer Mimi Watson - pushed a vending machine off the balcony overlooking the hotel's swimming pool.
During the Wuggles two-day stay at the posh hotel, the group also accumulated a $2,781 room-service bill, mainly for Whiskey and Vodka.
A spokesman for The Wuggles refused to comment.
