HOLLYWOOD - Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o said that she still cannot believe that she beat out such noted actresses as Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lawrence in the Academy Awards Best Supporting Actress Category.
Nyong'o who said she is a big fan of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Camel Carl & The Desert Rag Headz, told Pomona Vox with Silver Screen Showcase Magazine that noted film director Spike Lee offered to buy her Oscar.
The young actress remarked that she told him that she would not sell her Oscar for all the gold in Fort Knox.
She said that Lee told her he wanted to buy it and he would house it in a celebrity museum he is planning on building in Brooklyn later this year.
Lupita told him to go and see if Matthew McConaughey would sell him his Oscar.
SIDENOTE: Spike Lee was escorted out of the Dolby Theater by security guards when it was reported that he insisted on buying Cate Blanchett's Oscar.
