WEST MONROE, Louisiana - Phil Robertson the patriarch of Duck Dynasty's Robertson family has just announced that they will be making a halftime appearance at Super Bowl XLVIII (48) which will take place in New York City's MetLife Stadium.
The elder Robertson said that they will appear during halftime right before the Red Hot Chili Peppers take the stage.
When asked what he and his family will do he replied that they will participate in a 10 minute question and answer session.
He said that three members of the entertainment news media will be asking him and his family questions regarding the economy, unemployment, alligator products, foreign policy, Cajun cooking, Michelle Obama's new hairdo, and other nationally pertinent questions.
A Super Bowl representative said that the entertainment media panel will include Pico de Gallo with Tittle Tattle Tonight, Carolina Chipotle with Bedroom Pillow Talk, and Buck Yazoo with Yippie-Ki-Yay Magazine.
SIDENOTE: Phil Robertson did express a bit of sadness that his favorite team the New Orleans Saints will not be playing in the Super Bowl since they got beat by the Seattle Seahawks 23-15.
