According to insiders, the stage play Judge Judy--the Musical might become one of Broadway's all-time biggest hits. The show is scheduled to open in early July with actress Doris Roberts from Everybody Loves Raymond in the starring role.
Few details have been released but a cast member who requested anonymity revealed that the show will include a dozen new musical numbers, including the lively Are You Trying to Talk Over Me?, the rousing tune You're An Idiot!, the gripping Um is Not an Answer and the heartwarming opening number Your Honor, the Parties Have Been Sworn In, Please Be Seated. Sources say the show will also include a tea dance.
Actor Jamie Foxx acknowledges that he's interested in playing the part of bailiff Petri Hawkins-Byrd but that producers are concerned about his lack of crossword puzzle skills.
