HOLLYWOOD - In what is being called "The Kiss of The New Television Season," millions of fans are wondering what caused Kirstie Alley to suddenly grab Dancing With The Stars host Tom Bergeron and lock lips with him for what seemed to be quite a while.
Alley's partner Maksim "The Bad Boy of The Ballroom" Chmerkovskiy looked on in disbelief and could actually be seen getting a little jealous.
Bergeron, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying the heck out of the open-mouthed kiss.
He later told Carolina Chipotle with Bedroom Pillow Talk that he did not want to upset his wife, but that 61-year-old Kirstie's French kiss is the best French kiss he has ever had.
British judge Len Goodman said that from where he was sitting he could actually hear Tom and Kirstie's lips smacking.
Kirstie was asked by Miss Chipotle backstage why she had suddenly felt the urge to tongue Bergeron. She smiled and said that the kiss was a congratulatory kiss for him having won the Emmy for Outstanding Host.
But she revealed to BPT's Chipotle that the real reason she planted a wet one on Tommy, as she now calls him, was because she wanted to make Maks jealous.
When she was reminded that Maksim and fellow pro dancer, and last year's winner, Peta Murgatroyd are an item Kirstie rolled her eyes and simply nodded her head as if to say no.
