At the 84th Academy Awards last night, at the Kodak Theatre in LA, French made film The Artist scooped 5 Oscars including Best Film and Best Actor, but the cast and crew were keeping quiet about their success.
When Jean DuJardin was called onto stage to collect his Best Actor gong he simply said in a gallic tone "I'm speechless"
Beforehand on the Red Carpet, fashion correspondent Nina Neena asked actress Bérénice Bejo 'who are you wearing tonight' she replied "I can't say"
Also on the carpet, director Michel Hazanavicius was asked was he confident of winning, he replied "I'm keeping quiet on that one"
Rumours that the film was inspired by Highbury football stadium when the director watched an Arsenal EPL match were denied by sources.
The Artist is already being dubbed into many languages for worldwide syndication, including Chinese, Japanese, German and Scottish.
A sequel is planned for next year called "The Voice-Over Artist" starring American James Earl Jones and Englishman Brian Blessed.
An American spin-off tv series starring Jay and Silent Bob in a library is also being discussed.
