Multi-award winning songstress Adele was so happy at winning six Grammys she could barely contain herself.
"Mum! The girl done good," she hollered from the stage in her delightful north London lilt.
However, international commentators were left non-plussed by her heavily-accented outburst - not least the prestigious and influential international news magazine, Time.
"Mom, gold is good!" is how the magazine's Briefing page editor rendered the exclamation in their latest edition.
Language expert, Dr Bryce Mellifluous, of Hounslow University, said: "Stupid yank journos! Adele's appearance at the Grammys has been all over the telly and has been reported in loads of papers, but can they get it right? Can they buggery!
"'Uh, we're like Time magazine, you know? People write songs about being on our cover because we're, like, soooo important, so we must be right.'
"Pillocks!"
