Plans to mark the thirty fifth anniversary of Star Wars next year began in earnest today, with many of the events planned for the UK in recognition of the role played by Pinewood Studios.
As part of the proposed celebrations, television executives today began negotiations with LucasFilms with a view to incorporating these events into their programming. Channel Five bosses have announced that Darth Vader will be joining the Big Brother house at the end of August and the BBC are also planning on a special appearance for the Sith Lord on Strictly Come Dancing at the end of the year when he will be dancing the tango and the pasodoble with Susan Boyle.
LucasFilms have also announced that Jedi master Yoda will be going undercover for the BBC's Lawless Britain to expose disability benefit fraud and the Ewoks will also be making guest appearances in River Cottage Forever, when Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall will be showing how to turn Ewok pelts into novelty rugs.
