A sharp rise in attendants at local horse and greyhound meets has seen the creation of over 500 new race commentators, I can report.
This rise in admission has been traced back to the current Global Financial Crisis, where more and more out of work men and women are now betting their last dollars on thoroughbreds.
"We've seen a quarterly rise of attendants at more than 10.5%" CEO of Lucky Hearts races, George Proctor said.
"It's good news for bookies and racecourse owners everywhere".
