A sharp rise in attendants at local horse and greyhound meets has seen the creation of over 500 new race commentators, I can report.

This rise in admission has been traced back to the current Global Financial Crisis, where more and more out of work men and women are now betting their last dollars on thoroughbreds.

"We've seen a quarterly rise of attendants at more than 10.5%" CEO of Lucky Hearts races, George Proctor said.

"It's good news for bookies and racecourse owners everywhere".

Trevor Groves, a former election ad spokesman, says he has been given a new feeling of hope since becoming a race commentator.

"EversincetheendoftheelectionI'vefallenonhardtimes" he said, "LuckyHeartRacesgavemeanewleaseonlife".

Jerry Williams was also interviewed, but transcribers were at a loss of what he was saying.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
