SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Apple is planning a major media event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Tuesday Jan. 26, 2010, to announce the launch of a major product.

Speculation is rife in media outlets as to the nature of this product. Some allege it is a new touchscreen device relating to the video content of iTunes, based on the negotiations Apple is said to be involved in with TV networks.

Other analysts say it is the long-awaited tablet with a 7-inch screen in lieu of the 10-inch screen that was to have been announced earlier.

Yet others have commented that this announcement will launch both the 7-inch and 10-inch screens simultaneously.

However a source close to Apple has told this Spoof.com reporter that the new product called - iDouche - is a "revolutionary new way to clean computers".

To lend credence to this story, The Spoof.com CEO Mark Lowton alleged that Apple has asked his developers to prepare full screen versions of their apps for a January demo. The normally low-beat Lowton said he was absolutely chuffed to have his staff participate in the testing of the iDouche.

"Brilliant, brilliant", Lowton beamed as he pushed his way through the crowd of female Spoof reporters lined up to test the iDouche.

The iDouche is said to have been developed by and nurtured under the watchful eye of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
