Switzerland - (Zurich Gnome Mess): The annual Davos ecomonic forum has been rocked by reports that rogue SocGen trader Jerome Kerviel was in charge of managing Russian President Vladimir Sputum's burgeoning $20 billion retirement warchest.
The connection became apparent after last December's London appeal hearing ruled that top Brunei mobster Prince Jefri Archer must hand back over $25 billion of stolen assets which he fleeced from the Brunei Investment Authority's coffers.
Fraud investigators found that over half the portfolio assets in the Jefri heist were jointly held with Putin's own hoard sparking fears that both Jefri and now Kerviel are former KGB agents responsible for Putin's surprise slime into the Kremlin in 2000.
Meanwhile in Paris the gendarmerie has arrested Kerviel and is questioning him about how some of his living expenses - rent, utility bills, credit card payments etc - were all paid for from bank accounts in the name of Carla Brunei, maitresse-en-titre to French President Nickerless Teacosy.
An update is expected soon.
