ELKHART, IN--Saying that he had never before seen such passion and originality in an applicant, Marshall & Inmark hiring manager Karl Sayers told reporters Thursday that 24-year-old Peter Heintzelman had "all but clinched" the marketing assistant role he interviewed for on Tuesday with his post-interview thank you note.

"To be honest, Peter didn't distance himself too much from the field during his interview," Sayers admitted. "But after I saw that two-paragraph email, emphasizing that he was very interested in the position and encouraging me to contact him if I had any further questions, I said to myself, 'Whatever inspired this, we need more of it around here.'"

Sawyer added that if Heintzelman followed up about the position within two-to-five business days, the young man would be put on the fast track to management.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
