LITTLE ROCK - The governor of Arkansas has sent a letter to the home office of Chick-Fil-A in Atlanta, Georgia.
The letter respectfully asks that the chicken franchise please change the name of their restaurants located within the state from Chick-Fil-A to Cluck-Fil-A.
A representative for the governor commented that the name chick in Arkansas is an extremely derogatory name that implies that a young woman has loose morals, no scruples, and no shoes.
It was noted that the state has spent millions of dollars to try and educate the American citizens of the other 49 states that the young females of Arkansas are not like the young gals that used to appear on the Ma and Pa Kettle movies.
It was further explained that the name cluck is a very honorable name and it describes fine, young, upstanding Arkansas-bred hens who unlike hens in Tennessee, West Virginia, and Mississippi do not go around biting humans.
SIDENOTE: As of press time the executives with Chick-Fil-A had not responded.
