In a bold and self-congratulatory move, a group of mobile gaming enthusiasts have sued Novio, the developer of the Angry Fowl series, for $50 million dollars, according to papers filed in New York Federal Court today.
According to the suit, Novio's business model --creating the world's first genuinely fun smart phone game, and then forgetting to get people to pay for it-- is both unsustainable and has tainted the entire game development world.
"Oh, absolutely, they've single-handedly fucked up mobile gaming worldwide, " said attorney Anthony Rosania, who wrote the lawsuit and crafted the novel terms regarding defense and discovery.
"The developer can use the 'Lite' version of their defense in Court, that's free," said Rosania. "But they are limited to just two defense witnesses unless the purchase the Complete defense from iTunes."
"Of course, as Plaintiffs, we can also make an in-app purchase for the Super Secret Suprise Witness Token pack and the Eagle-Eye Unflappable Witness power-ups."
