PHILADELPHIA, PA--Area man William Kevol expressed dismay today that Nike had only withdrawn its endorsement of Olympic gold medalist and accused murderer Oscar Pistorius Tuesday, noting than a murder charge should be "one of those things you get immediately axed for."
"Uh, it's been, like, four days," Kevol told reporters outside of his home on Washington Square. "I mean, murder? If this was drugs or a D.U.I. or even assault, I guess I could get the delay. But murder? It shouldn't take this long to debate whether or not you can still sponsor an alleged murderer."
At press, French perfume brand Thierry Mugler and British phone company BT Group still sponsored Pistorius, who strongly denies the charge.
