I just could make a dramatic return to front-line politics by taking one of the top European Union jobs

One EU diplomat, speaking to PublicServiceEurope.com, said: 'If I was Blair and I wanted to get back into the game, that is the way I would do it.
'Remember that it was German chancellor Angela Merkel who stood in the way of him getting the top job last time.
'It is no surprise that he is trying to soften the Germans up first.'

Bet this pisses off a few failing Labour party members? He he he!
