I have like so many people, a past I am not overly proud of, despite not being in control of what I had to do at the end of the war in Germany. A certain guilt lingers.

I can understand with more compassion and comprehension than many, the apparent failings of others forced into actions they would not have chosen, out of survival instincts.

Now, where's me wine...
