Although I was considered to be a thief, one who supported my merry men and me by taking a percentage from the loot, a least I was fair when I got to decided which poor was worthy enough to get the help.

I was fair, I shared out the stolen turnips and sovereigns reclaimed from the toffs amongst the poor citizens of Nottingham.

Bit like the current benefit officers?
