Life isn't easy for Nick Clegg with the party nose-diving in the polls like a yellow-hued and lead-filled flamingo but erstwhile Montgomeryshire MP Lembit Opik has popped up at this critical moment to offer some helpful advice.

Lembit counsels that Cleggers step down as head of the Lib Dems and concentrate on being deputy PM because you "can't do those two full-time jobs at once and get away with it!"
