Napoleon - My Fake Diary

Saturday, 18 August 2012

I failed to conquer Russia in 1812 for several reasons:

Faulty logistics, poor discipline, disease, and not the least, the weather.

My method of warfare was based on rapid concentration of my forces at a key place to destroy my enemy.

While a soldier could march 15 - 20 miles a day, a supply wagon was generally limited to about 10 - 12 miles a day.

The success's I had time after time in Central Europe against the Prussians and the Austrians proved that my method of warfare worked - but Russia was too cold and too big!

Wish I'd thought of that before attacking them really - Merde!
