As you all know by now, I was named earlier this week by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) as one of 23 individuals said to have been targeted by News International and its former flagship Sunday newspaper the News of the World.

I am pleased that after a five-year campaign these people will finally have to answer questions in a court of law. Given some of the answers they have already given to parliamentary committees and the Leveson Inquiry, it will be interesting to see if they give the same answers under oath in court.

I am unsure whether I will be called to give evidence in any trial. It's not up to me, it's up to the court but if they want me I will be more than happy to appear.

In January this year I had the pleasure of accepting a £40,000 pay-out from News International.
