Jimmy Savile - My Fake Diary
Saturday, 8 September 2012
How about this then - in the Star:
Sir Jimmy Savile's favourite home is being sold at a knockdown price - because it is stuck in a 1970s time warp.
The huge penthouse flat, "so dated it needs gutting", is in one of Leeds' most desirable areas.
It was the place Sir Jimmy - who died last year aged 84 - called home.
But the three-bedroom property, overlooking Roundhay Park, hasn't been updated for around four decades.
Shagpile carpets and 1970s lino cover the floors and there is old-fashioned wood panelling throughout.
Last week the fifth-floor apartment went on the market at £325,000, which neighbours reckon is a "bargain".
It is too at that price I agree!
