George Osborne - My Fake Diary
Friday, 18 May 2012
Gregg's Chief exec Ken McMeikan hopes to persuade my Treasury minister David Gauke to adopt his 'Plan B' at his meeting today with the Treasury.
He wants the Government to charge VAT on all food kept hot for sale in a heated environment after cooking, all food re-heated to order and all food supplied in heat-retaining packaging - which would leave fresh bakery savouries unaffected.
He reminds me of John Mayer - Dreaming with a Broken Heart!
Ha ha ha! No chance!
