I read this on the entertainmentwise site:

"Along with Kate Middleton and Boris Johnson, David Beckham seems to have been pretty much an unofficial mascot of the London 2012 Olympics, cheering on athletes, campaigning against world hunger and even meeting some of Britain's gold plunderers!"

Yet now he's shown how he's truly embraced every facet of the games by meeting the soldiers who stepped in to provide security at the last minute after cock-ups by the security company G4S. David wasn't just being his alturistic self, but also giving his boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz a day out, as he met police officers and even let his sons pat a police dog, and try on the policemen's helmets!"
