Bit here a bout me in the Herald Sun - Melbourne
Sir Cliff Richard could be described as the yang to Brand's ying, a famously chaste and sober singer.
Richard, knighted in 1995, is a clean-living icon, a Christian who shunned the vices of rock and never married.
Sir Cliff has outlasted every trick in the book by being normal. In that way, he sees himself as the most radical star in rock. "What I've done as an artist is not necessarily radical but the way I've behaved has been."
"There was a period when singers threw television sets out the window, swore and spat on the audience, cussed and messed up the first-class cabin on a plane. The only one who didn't do that was me. So, on that level, who's the radical here? I didn't conform to what everybody thinks."
