Michelle aka the wife aka 'er indoors has been in London to support the American teams competing at the London 2012 Olympics.

She's been hugging David Beckham (turns out he's English - I never knew that before) but I've been getting involved as well, albeit from here in Washington. I've tweeted Michael Phelps offering him congratulations for his 19th Olympic medal - historical!

At times like this it's a shame I'm the worlds most powerful man, flanked by security almost 24 hours a day. I'd dearly love to slip on a beard and glasses disguise and pop down to London for the womens beach volleyball - have to watch it on the telly instead - in High Definition of course!
