Sean Connery stars in Rocky Horror Picture Show

IF YOU'VE EVER wondered what James Bond would look like wearing tights, wonder no more for 007 star Sean Connery has agreed to take part in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Connery will play Dr Frank'n'Furter, the 'sweet transvestite' of Richard O'Brien's popular play.

A new production, with flashing lights and a sound system, will embark on a nationwide tour of working men's clubs before arriving in the West End later this year.

A source close to the star said "This is completely new for Sean but it sheemed like fun. Prancing around in high heelsh is no different from putting one in the morgue."

Actor Tim Curry who played Frank'n'Furter in the screen version is said have wished Connery well but privately doubts he'll be able to carry it off.

A friend muttered: "Sean is no-one's idea of a sweet transvestite so it's going to very interesting. Don't know why Richard didn't call Tim quite frankly. He knows he's very available."

Tickets are likely to be a sell-out.
