According to reports, embattled Libyan strongman Colonel Muamar Gadhafi has fled Libya and is on his way to California, where he has been offered political asylum in Charlie Sheen's Sober Valley Ranch compound.
There has been much speculation over the past few days about potential safe havens for Gadhafi and his family. Algeria, Egypt, South Africa, Venezuela, and Martha's Vineyard have been identified as likely destinations of refuge. The offer of asylum from the Sober Valley Ranch caught nearly everyone by surprise.
Prime Minister Sheen will address the Sober nation this evening at 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time. River Phoenix, Sheen's Press Secretary, announced in a briefing this afternoon that the Prime Minister will justify his decision to reach out to Gadhafi in a fourteen point speech.
