The world of rhetoric is in shock after a man was defeated in an argument despite using the trump Hitler "Munich agreement" card.
While the rest of the world deals with the shock of this announcement, lazy journalists, politicians of the extreme right and bricklayers up and down the country have convened an emergency meeting to get the bottom of the issue.
As this event was never expected, it is believed there are no emergency measures or procedures in place to deal with this eventuality.
Details of the argument are sketchy but it is believed to involve a dispute at the local council regarding fly-tipping. A whistle-blower from the council did confirm that the previous infallible technique wasn't strong enough to dissuade them from their original stance.
However, Ian Appropriate, Chairman of the Munich Agreement Analogy Society, insists the recent development is merely an aberration.
"The public should not panic" Appropriate said "This argument has worked extremely successfully for over half a century in preventing mature reasoned debate so to abandon it now would just be appeasing those we fight against, much like Chamberlain did with Hitler with the Munich Agreement".
