Allah or Allan?

In a discovery that is certain to send shockwaves throughout the muslim world, a recently found diary from the 16th century is said to contain information as to how the name 'Allah' actually came about.

The diary of 16th century villager Thomas Brodely was discovered by a family who recently moved into a 15th century house in Worcester in England. The diary, written in the year 1645, refers to a night in which Brodely was drinking with his friends 'William Franhampton' and 'Allan Worthingon' at the local public house.

According to Brodely's diary, after a night of drinking and whilst at the public house, Worthington had asked Franhampton 'who his god was' to which Franhampton lept up onto the table with his jar of ale, pointed to Worthingon and shouted 'Allah..' before collapsing backwards over the table and landing headfirst onto the barmaid.

It was from this moment, that rumor spread around the village that 'Allah' - was the new God. It was also believed that Allah was able to strike people down who mentioned his name, as thought when Franhampton spoke at the public house.

It is later revealed in the diary that Brodely met with Franhampton at a later date where Franhampton revealed that he was simply summoning Worthington, by his first name, onto the table before he lost his footing on the table before knocking himself unconscious on the barmaid thus being unable to finish the full pronunciation of Worthingtons first name; 'Allan'.

The diary is being auctioned for charity where the money raised will be used to help under privileged Muslims living in the UK on the welfare system to emigrate back to their original birth country and lead a working life.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
