In a new move, "texting" has been instituted as the official language in the small African nation of Somalia.
Many people have applauded this move, but those people all live in the southernmost regions of California.
Others have questioned the move, such as the the required use of the word "lol" in place of "laugh out loud." Others simply argue that the use of this new word hardly makes a difference as Somalians have not recently seen any actual use for the word or any related words.
Due to the troubling financial situation in Somalia, however, cell phones cannot be afforded by many, so the literacy rate has now dropped from 37.8% to 0.003%.
Said the president of Somalia, "I luv new rule, g2g." He was immediately rushed out of the assembly hall after a crazed man jumped from a balcony screaming, "l8ter wrld!"
