Sources close to the man on the moon revealed today that he is thoroughly fed up and very lonely.

His best friend on Earth, Mr Ivor Telescope, said:

"Last time I spoke to the man on the moon he was very depressed. Apart from the odd cow flying over and playing with the left overs from the Apollo missions, he says there is bugger all to do."

His hopes were raised during the 70's Apollo missions insomuch that he might have someone to talk to but the US astronauts were just too busy jumping about and driving their moon car to talk.

The man on the moon is taking Chinese lessons in the hope they might be landing on the moon sometime in the 23rd century.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
