A spokesman for a hospital in Mexico City has confirmed that a patient admitted with suspected swine flu has become tacocardic.
The change in the patient's condition has worried officials, who previously believed that they could prevent the media from using 'corny' puns in connection with the outbreak.
A government official said today, "We have been dreading this day for a long time, but were pleasantly surprised that the word 'tacocardic' is likely to be first pun that the newspapers pick up on. Our money was firmly on 'Sneezy Gonzales."
It is believed that the patient was admitted at the weekend after complaining of feeling chili.
