image for Obama More Popular Than Urkel in Germany
Vladmir Wiesnewski likes President Obama better than Urkel, but not as much as beer.

Staats-Zeitung,Germany-President Obama was such a hit during his visit to Germany that a German Pole ranked him as more popular than Steve Urkel, a fictional character on an American comedy sitcom called "Family Matters".

"Sure I liked "Family Matters". Especially after it was translated into German." exclaimed Vladimir Wiesnewski, a German Pole from Staats-Zeitung, "But that Barrack...now there's a funny character. All my friends like him too, Urkel that is, and they also like Obama."

He went on to explain how sometimes it's easy to get the two confused.

"First off, they are both black. That's for starters. Also they wear the same clothes: large and thick eyeglasses, "high-water" pants held up by suspenders, multi-colored cardigan sweaters, and a high-pitched voice. They even have the same catch phrase, "Did I do that?". See what I mean. Anyways, I like President Obama more than Urkel, but not as much as beer."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
