JERUSALEM (FMLiveWire) - In a surprise appearance, Satan materialized in the Knesset here on Monday and endorsed the Israeli bombing and invasion of Gaza, to thunderous applause from legislators.
"This genocide is great stuff," chortled Satan. "You are my kind of chosen people!"
The endorsement from the Prince of Evil comes as US president-elect Barack Obama continued his silence on the slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza and drew criticism from Arabs who have grown skeptical about hopes that his administration will break with the lunatic Mideast policies of the Bush era.
Obama was on vacation in Hawaii when the crisis erupted and has made no statements.
Arab commentators noted that Obama's refusal to speak out on Gaza implies indifference to the plight of Palestinians and complicity with Israel.
The satellite TV network Al Jazeera contrasted footage of Obama wearing shorts and playing golf in Hawaii with scenes of the carnage in Gaza, as a way of highlighting what it called "the deafening silence from the Obama team."
Meanwhile, the US blocked a UN resolution calling for a cease-fire.
"People recall his campaign slogan of change and hoped that it would apply to the Palestinian situation," said Jordanian analyst Labib Kamhawi, speaking from Amman, Jordan.
Satan laughed along with the lawmen as he noted that it is "unbelieveable" that Israelis have managed to steal the Palestinian's land to form the state of Israel, while preventing the formation of a Palestinian state and continuing to slaughter Palestinians over so many decades.
"Good going guys," he grinned.
