The Queens who do not matter met last night, another of their regular monthly sistership meetings. Queen Beatrix of Holland, Queen Margrethe of Denmark, Queen Sonja of Norway, Queen Silvia of Sweden and Queen Paola of Belgium gathered this month in Belgium to make soup, discuss issues of importance to their countries and the European Union, and darn socks.
Afterward they went for a walk and bought newspapers, then sat in the park outside the palace and watched children play and read their newspapers.
According to sources within the palace the Queens were pleased with the outcome of the meeting and felt the soup one of their best.
Next month the meeting will be held in Sweden, with Queen Silvia acting as hostess. There, the Queens are expected to make soup, discuss issues of importance to their countries and the European Union, and darn socks.
